Pipe Covers

Pipe Covers

Pipe Covers | Pipe Insulation Cover

The core material of rubber pipe covers is a flexible non-reinforced mass load vinyl that can resist acoustic waves and reduce airborne noise. The pipe insulation cover is 3mm thick with an STC rating of 26.

To blocking sound, the material needs to be dense. Density comes from quality. High density materials typically do not have a porous structure to allow sound waves to enter and pass them. Thus, any material with high quality can be used to block the sound path. Insulated pipe covers also need to be dense. Concrete, gypsum board, MDF, hard board and concrete block units are common examples of high density barriers. The problem with these common building materials is that they are very stiff. They have great mass, but they do not get the overall sound you want to reduce because they are not elasticity like mass loaded vinyl (MLV).

Pipe covers MLV is a flexible 4 kg/m2 reinforced foil faced mass load vinyl barrier. It is usually used to wrap noisy pipes and ducts to prevent noise propagating through the walls of the pipe. The outer foil surface serves as projective layer for indoor or outdoor applications. The pipe covering insulation material can be easily cut, packaged and installed.

Pipe Covers

Used for covering noise pipes, water pipe cover, ducts, valves and fan housings. It is suitable for piping systems running through conference rooms, classrooms, offices, audio rooms and hospital rooms. A layer of foam can be added to increase its pipe wrap insulation performance.

In addition to pipe covers, it can provide instantaneous mass damping for any location and create a sound seal from one room to another, in the walls, ceilings, floors, machinery, household appliances, outdoor fence, doors, divide rooms or windows.
