Insulation for Walls

Mass loaded vinyl (MLV) is a safe non-toxic acoustic insulation for walls material designed for use as a soft mass suspension in a variety of sound insulation applications. MLV sound insulation is a low-cost alternative to lead sheeting noise insulation for walls. Our custom designed mass-loaded vinyl noise barriers are provided at a density of 4 kg/m2.

Sound Transmission Class

It’s an industry standard measuring unit for internal wall insulation materials, such as mass loaded vinyls for walls, ceilings or flooring components, is known as sound transmission class (STC). Standardized testing in certified independent soundproofing labs, measure transmission losses between noise source and target room. Measuring range from 125Hz to 4000Hz of six frequency points.
